There are two kinds of standard tests for people who want to get a visa:
1. English Language Proficiency Tests
Proof of English language proficiency is usually required for international students who wish to study at universities in the United States and other countries. These tests help universities evaluate a student’s ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English.

Most universities worldwide require applicants to demonstrate strong English communication skills before they can enroll in academic programs. These tests ensure that students can effectively participate in classes and academic activities.
Students planning to study abroad should ideally take one of these exams at least two months before submitting their university applications. The test scores must then be submitted along with the application to confirm their English proficiency.
Applicants from English-speaking countries are usually exempt from these exams. However, students from India and many other non-English speaking countries are generally required to take one of these tests before applying for admission.
Important Note: Before starting the admission process, students should check which English proficiency tests are accepted by the universities they plan to apply to.
Students can take these exams multiple times if needed, and the test scores are typically valid for two years.
